NEMA 17 adapter for Namiki DC Servo Motor
thingiverse
This is a plate to convert high-quality coreless Namiki DC servo motors with encoders from eBay into mounts for anything that accepts a NEMA 17 footprint. These can be utilized for implementing closed-loop control in systems previously using steppers. The shaft diameter is slightly less than standard NEMA 17 (4.5mm instead of 5mm), but adding rubber tubing around it allows fitting an existing mount if necessary. It also offers space for a 'SickOfBeige' compatible DP3030 circuit board for control electronics. Set the add_circuit_board flag to true at the top of the SCAD file to include it. Print Settings Notes: PLA may crack when screws are tightened. PETG, ABS, or high-quality PLA with reduced brittleness should be used instead. Post-Printing Install 4 M3 nuts into each corner and secure them tightly to fully seat them in their spots. Use small screws to attach the face to the motor. Many motors come pre-equipped with a small faceplate featuring two mounting holes; it is safe to remove this and re-use the screws for attachment.
