Video about whole laser machine box build with installation of energy chains is available here: https://youtu.be/Rd9v01tEJb8 This design consideres T aluminum profile 15x15x1 mm to hold X axis energy chain. Energy chains used: X axis - inner size 10x10, used: https://www.x-zbozi.cz/en/energy-cable-chain-10x10-mm Y axis - inner size 15x15, used: http://www.cncshop.cz/energeticky-retez-15bf02 Actions required: - tap M3 threads to 3D printed X consoles L + R to mount alu profile, - drill 4 holes (3,5 mm diameter) to alu profile to be able to mount it to X consoles L + R, - tap 2x M3 holes to aluminum T profile to secure energy chain to alu profile (a bit tricky to do to middle rib, but manageable ;) ) Fasteners required: - 2 pcs M6x16 (e.g. ISO 4762) to mount X consoles L + R on X axis portal plastic side parts (replacing original screws M6x10), - 4 pcs M3x10 (e.g. ISO 4762) to mount alu profile X consoles L + R, - 2 pcs M3x16 (e.g. ISO 4762) to mount EnerChain console X at the X axis stepper motor, - 2 pcs M3x10 countersunk head (e.g. ISO 10642) to secure energy chain to alu profile, - 2 pcs M3x12 countersunk head (e.g. ISO 10642) to secure energy chain to EnerChain console X (depending on what energy chain you use), - 1 pc M4x16 (e.g. ISO 4762) + nut + 2 washers to mount EnerChain console Y to alu profile, - 2 pcs M4x12 countersunk head (e.g. ISO 10642) + 2 nuts to mount Y axis energy chain to EnerChain console Y, - something to fix Y axis energy chain to the base (wood screws 4x12 in my case, since my base is made of plywood) Note: to be able to use energy chain for X axis, I had to prolong cables to laser and X axis stepper motor for about 250 mm!
