NEJE DK-8-KZ Enclosure
thingiverse
This enclosure shields the widely used NEJE DK-8-KZ DIY Laser Engraver from view. My goal was to create a protective barrier that prioritizes laser safety, considering the presence of inquisitive children who might risk damaging their eyes by gazing directly at the laser beam through the open sides. The design is conveniently printable in two parts: a base and a top with sides. Accessible holes accommodate USB connections, fan exhaust, and an on/off button. Geometric precision allows for effortless printing without supports using a single extruder. Strategically placed locating slats on the base can be secured with glue or left unobstructed.
