Nein Dragons; A Nine Dragons by Yoyofactory mod project
thingiverse
Yoyofactory Nine Dragons was a thrilling concept of a yoyo that unfortunately never came to fruition. A stationary core is fitted with independently spinning sleeves, which sounds like an exhilarating experience. However, it failed to live up to expectations and revolutionize tricks as initially thought. Even my personal Nine Dragons has been collecting dust since the day I acquired it. But I firmly believe in its potential. Why not repurpose it as a mod platform? It has plenty of parts that can be utilized, and the caps could function as excellent weight rings. This mod project exclusively uses 9D components, with the only additional requirement being printed sleeves. The dimensions have been carefully designed to accommodate the original axle. Please note that the bell-shaped sleeve from the tutorial is not included in the files. Instead, I've provided V-shaped and "bat" (rounded w) sleeve designs along with a profile drawing, allowing you to create your own unique shape. Keep in mind that this project is still a work-in-progress. I've reached up to mk2 without achieving the desired result. The uploaded files are revised versions, but I haven't had a chance to test them yet.
