Nefila master spool
thingiverse
Our reusable spools are inspired by the RichRap masterspool and filament.ca spool designs. You can find our inspiration on Thingiverse at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2769823 and https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2869973. Nefila Spool is compatible with EconoFil, which means you can use it to refill your existing spools without having to buy a new one. Using a reusable spool has several advantages: It reduces plastic waste and environmental impact. It decreases shipping costs and weight. It's fun to print your own spool. Our Nefila Spool has the following benefits: It is very light, weighing less than 130 grams. It is easy to print. It takes less than 8 hours to print, depending on your settings. It is compatible with EconoFil Refill. Please be careful when cutting the zip ties to avoid damaging the filament. If you have a big nozzle (over 0.6mm) or are having trouble screwing the spool, try printing the SpoolmaleHT for higher thread tolerances. If you have any questions or suggestions about our spools, please leave us a comment or message. You can also find a tutorial on YouTube at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FDQxCiAshDk. Update: We've made some changes to our Nefila MaleSpool design. It's now slightly larger for added solidity.
