Nefertiti

The Nefertiti model was inspired by a blog post and YouTube video from RichRep, Richard Horne's channel. Check out http://richrap.blogspot.com/2016/03/3d-printing-and-finishing-nefertiti.html and https://www.youmagine.com/designs/nefertiti-in-sections-up-for-3d-printing-full-sized. I had to slice the model into 11 pieces in order for it to fit my standard Prusa i3 3D printer with a build space of 200 X 200 Y 220 Z. The nozzle size was set at 0.4 mm. After printing each part, I filled them with plaster and used epoxy to glue them together. Next, I sanded the joint smooth and applied a coat of zinc primer. Then, I gave the model a light sanding to preserve the 3D printer's artifacts. Finally, I applied three coats of golden spray paint.
