Nefertiti
thingiverse
Nefertiti model inspired by the blog post and YouTube video from RichRep (Richard Horne) http://richrap.blogspot.com/2016/03/3d-printing-and-finishing-nefertiti.html I had to split the model into 11 pieces so it fit my standard Prusa i3 printer at 3Dprinterlab.org, which has a build space of 200 X 200 Y 220 Z. I printed with a 0.4 mm nozzle. After printing the parts, I filled them with plaster and glued them together using epoxy. Then I sanded down the joint and applied a coat of Zinc primer, sanding the model very lightly to preserve the 3D printer artifacts. Finally, I gave the model three coats of golden spray paint. https://www.facebook.com/3dprinterlab/ Print Settings Printer Brand: RepRap Printer: standard Prusa i3 at 3Dprinterlab.org Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: No Resolution: 0.4 Infill: 6% Notes: It's better to reduce the infill to 2 or 3% so the plaster flows well into the model and saves a bit of material.
