My Opto Servo Probe Died and I Decided Not to Spend 45 Bucks on a New One. So, I Began Searching Thingiverse for an Alternative Design. That's When I Came Across Compact Opto Servo Probe by Atsnailpace, and I Must Say His Design Really Caught My Eye. The Optical End-Stop I Had Was Different from His, But Since I Was in the Mood to Get Creative, I Decided to Remix His Design Around Mine. As I Was Designing My Own Probes, I Chose a Smaller Servo and a Sewing Needle for the Actuator Pin Instead of Using What He Had Suggested. The Probe Test PDF Shows Off Some Pretty Impressive Results, with 100 Successful Probes Displayed on It in a Screen Print from Octoprint. I Bought My End-Stop from Amazon: Https://Www.Amazon.Com/Gp/Product/B07Mft8Nwj/Ref=Ppx_Yo_Dt_B_Asin_Title_O01_S00?Ie=Utf8&Psc=1 The Servo I Chose Was from Micro Center, and Here's the Link:Https://Www.Microcenter.Com/Product/508336/Small-Plastic-Analog-Servo. In Terms of Post Processing, There Was a Bit of Hole Clean-Up Involved. I Used a #64 Drill Bit to Ream Out the Hole for the Pin Guide and a #63 for the Pin Holder-Flag. To Get the Pin Holder-Flag to Trigger the End-Stop, I Had to Use Some Aluminum Tape to Seal Up the Ductwork. As Designed, It Takes About .5 to 1mm to Trigger - But You'd Never Even Know Anything Was Moving. I'm Using Klipper Firmware for My Printer, So If You Need Any Help Getting It Set Up with Klipper, I Should Be Able to Lend a Hand. I'm Not Extremely Familiar with Marlin, but I'll Do My Best to Help Out If You Have Any Questions. As Always, If You Make It and Want to Share Your Creation, Please Post a Pic - I'd Love to See How Yours Turns Out!
