Needle File Handle
pinshape
Summary: Used on needle files with a 3mm diameter, requiring an interference fit that necessitates pressing on or using a rubber mallet and a vise. What I used and did: I employed the Monoprice mini, utilizing a .1325 layer height, 40% infill (which might not be crucial, as it's essentially 100% due to its small size) at a speed of 60mm/s. The entire process took approximately 45 minutes on my slow machine, consuming around 2g of material. I opted for an easy and affordable handle. Other files appear more attractive than mine, but they would have required about 1.5 hours per handle and additional material, so I designed this quick and effortless one instead. I purchased my needle files at Harbor Freight with a 20% off coupon, paying around $2.50, tax included, for two sets of six. UPDATE 2-6-17: When printing one in ABS using a 0.0875 layer height, the hole turned out slightly too large, no longer providing an interference fit.
