<p>Just before Word War II the Dutch Railways build a very modern concrete signal post at the west entrance of Utrecht Central Station (Leidseveer).</p><p>This remarkable concrete structure, designed by achitect van Ravensteyn, was never comissioned. Due to the war, the German build signal equipment was never delivered.</p><p>The building was never used for railway operations. It was eventually used as a temporary house for railway staff.</p><p>It is very unfortunate the iconic (monumental) qualities of this clean and modern design were overlooked back in 1958. Several 2 mm alignment holes help to allign when assembling/glueing all parts together.</p><p>The stairs are mounted to the first floor with M2 screws.
