After finalizing the DB KÖF-II locomotive succesfully (https://www.printables.com/model/181942-db-kof-ii-gauge-1-132-45-mm), I challenged myself to design the Dutch alternative to this German shunter.

This is the series 200-300 of the Nederlandse Spoorwegen, nicknamed "SIK".

Locomotor#362 is preserved. It's in the collection of NSM (Dutch Railway Museum), still with the crane fitted. https://www.spoorwegmuseum.nl/ontdek/de-collectie/onze-treinen/ns362-sik/

The initial drive-unit (uploaded in this "Thing") is not powerfull, nor fast, and the exposed gears pick up debris too easily. My new designed motor-block is uploaded separately: https://www.printables.com/model/181867-motor-unit-for-nederlandse-spoorwegen-locomotor-36

Under the engine cover and in the cabin you have plenty of space to mount an RC receiver, sound-module, battery, ESC-module, etc.....

The chimney is constructed by glueing a piece of 8 mm pipe in the engine cover. (height over engine cover: 13 mm)

The roof is a simple lid/cover on the cabin.

The foot- and hand-levers are glued to the frame using 1.75 filament. A piece of metal wire is fitted as a handle in the top of the hand-levers.

If you want to create this model in the old green, black and red livery, the provided number- and factory sign are to be glued to the cabin. The numbers were simply painted on for the more recent yellow and grey locomotives.

The front- and rear holders for the "end of train" signs are probably too fragile to last a reasonable time. I've never printed and fitted them.

The body is screwed to the frame by M3 screws. The buffers are glued to the frame aligned by 4 mm rod/thread. The mounted brake tubes and couplings are standard items by Marklin or Hubner. In the buffer beam 1.5 mm holes are provided to create shunting hand-grabs using some metal wire.

I used available fixtures (M2 thread) and brass wire create hand rails.

<oembed url="https://youtu.be/KW7nvZoBJ9E"></oembed>

Good luck printing this lovely, typically Dutch locomotive!

Print Settings

Printer Brand:

Creality

Printer:

CR-10

Rafts:

No

Supports:

Yes

Resolution:

0.125 mm

Infill:

15%

Filament: REAL Filament PC-PETG Black
