The Scythe of Night is the Necrons' go-to instrument of invasion, a modified version of the Doom Scythe that swaps out some of that warrior's heaviest firepower in favour of transporting troops. This does not mean that a Scythe of Night is defenceless - quite the opposite. Like its counterpart, it can engage in combat operations both in space and within a planet's atmosphere, serving the Necron forces as an interceptor, starship assault and fighter-bomber. With its turret-mounted Destructors of Tesla and the nerve-shredding scream of its engines, the Scythe of Night is a force to be reckoned with. The Necron infantry units that Scythes of Night most commonly carry into battle include Necron Warriors, Immortals, Deathmarks and Lychguard.
