I'm glad my ganger wasn't left behind because he was just an inch short on that long ladder anymore! No more excuses! I created a small platform that hooks into the rungs of a ladder to show a model is partway up the ladder. Just hook it over a rung and place the miniature on the platform. This platform holds up to 40mm bases comfortably, and 50mm bases with some balancing. I designed it to be compatible with the rungs of GW Sector Mechanicus ladders. It may be a bit of a tight squeeze depending on printer settings and the thickness of paint on your terrain. There is some play to file it down a little if that's the case. I included a more slender version as well as a thicker, sturdier variant. The thinner variant is fine for most miniatures, but the sturdier version may give you some peace of mind should you use large metal figures. Jan 11 2020: I added a version with a longer "hook" that should grab 3mm MDF. If you print it, please let me know if/how it works. Thanks!
