Neck block for Dalek NSD, with or without ball bearing sphere
thingiverse
Another thing I need to create for my Dalek pal is neck blocks with bearings. So here we go. I met Dalek Clara at ECCC 2014. These blocks should be close to the correct dimensions and hopefully work for most people who need NSD neck blocks. Support my designs! Instructions Used Sketchup based on standard dimensions. Rounded and sphere placement were tricky, so I looked at photos of real blocks to make it look good. I left a little clearance for the slats, depending on your printer tolerances vs mine you may want to adjust them. Included Sketchup files are provided. Printed medium (.2mm layer height), no supports or rafts needed. Since it was easy, I've included a version with a void for a 14mm bearing. However not having such a bearing myself, I'm unsure how well it'll fit. YMMV. Note: I'm not building a whole Dalek, these are for a friend who's already almost done.
