Many young children who are struggling to breathe on ventilator support greatly benefit from in-line nebulizer treatment. These compact nebulizers attach directly into the ventilator tubing port rather than relying on cumbersome mask support. While business dictates that a significant majority of users prefer handheld/mask delivery, infants often feel anxious about medical equipment. Nebulizers attached directly to their face may not only calm these frightened children but also remain stable during movement, reducing the frustration experienced by caregivers who attempt to hold the nebulizer in place while tending to restless young patients. The innovative Nebulizer Holder is designed specifically for use with the 3D printed utility model "Nutjob" (www.thingiverse.com/thing:193647), a robust design featuring six nut threads. Users will require a single washer and additional threaded component to securely assemble their device. Unfortunately, the printer setting requires extensive support due to its open carriage mechanism, and careful handling is necessary when inserting the nebulizer tube to avoid pinching the tubing. Further design modifications may include integrating a small motor and battery pack into the carriage to facilitate periodic motion of the nebulizer cup and improve the dispersion of medications. Additionally, users can opt to modify the Nebulizer Holder with their own custom settings. Print specifications are provided on this repository: * Printer brand: LulzBot * Printer model: Mini * Supports required: Yes (Lines support: 15% for proper assembly) * Infill percentage: 20% Design notes and user recommendations: * Lines support of 15% used to maintain structural integrity. * Flexible carriageway ensures durability and stability during use. Additional details on the Nebulizer Holder and print settings are available here: https://github.com/nmenon/3DPrints/tree/master/Sushruta/NebHolder. Print materials used were HIPS for the primary component and ABS for additional parts such as wheels and support structures.
