Neato Botvac top bumper extension Horn / Fin
thingiverse
Stupidly simple little extension to help prevent your neato botvac from venturing under things that the LIDAR turret is likely to get stuck on. Horns? Shark fins? Sure, why not! When installing them take care that the horn lines up so it's pointing directly at the lidar's centre, so that it doesn't block the signal (your botvac will complain it's view is blocked if you get it wrong). It works by causing low-hanging obstacles (like coffee tables that are slightly too low) to hit the horn, which pushes the bumper. I put one on each side of the bumper. I tried one in the middle but it seemed to get in the way of the lidar so I removed it. It seems strong enough to cope with the bot resting on it upside-down while cleaning the roller brush etc. I attached mine using superglue. Feel free to spend more than 5 minutes modelling a better-looking version! :-)
