Near Field Brain One - Raspberry RFID Scanner
youmagine
The Near Field Brain is a fully programmable near field communicator built around a powerful Raspberry Pi B+ and an advanced Mifare RC522 RFID Scanner. A bright led-light and a loud 5V piezo-buzzer are mounted on the sleek, completely 3D-printed case to display successful scans. Well-ventilated slots on the bottom ensure optimal airflow, while screw-holes for the mifare bridge and cover-holders provide easy assembly and access. The foots are securely glued onto the sturdy bottom-part. When you lift the cover, all Raspberry connectors become easily accessible. I opted for a reliable Raspberry Pi B+ paired with a minimal debian wheezy installation, which includes an Apache 2 Server and essential RFID and GPIO drivers. For efficient administration, I utilize a WLAN Dongle and a custom-coded Web-GUI.
