As patients with respiratory distress flood into hospitals, the available number of ventilators may be woefully inadequate to support all the patients. Like similar initiatives, THIS IS UNAPPROVED, HIGHLY EXPERIMENTAL, and NOT YET TESTED ON HUMANS. Any potential use requires waivers to utilize unapproved/untested medical devices and robust patient monitoring by medical experts and certified diagnostic equipment to minimize the risk of severe consequences if the device fails to function as intended by doctors.
