Personal protective equipment "face shields" produced by Near East University are being made available to front-line healthcare workers who interact closely with COVID-19 patients. The print time is just one minute and thirty seconds, and it requires only a single part for assembly. It works seamlessly with A4 transparent sheets, and hooks have been added for rubber bands to ensure a comfortable fit. Near East Hospital's medical staff has given the green light for use of these face shields. Printing with 0.3mm resolution is recommended, and users are advised to add a build plate support for the pins. Testing has confirmed that it works well with both ABS and PLA materials, and it has been successfully tested on Prusa MK3/MK3S and Ultimaker 2+ Extended, 3, S3, and S5 printers. For added convenience, users can use a two-hole punch to create holes in the shield, but they should first check the forehead part for any rough edges that may need to be sanded down.
