NDT X-Ray Cabinet
thingiverse
As part of our automated line, this is a scaled-down version of one of our x-ray cabinets used for non-destructive testing of engine blocks. I took the full-scale CAD model I created earlier, and simply made some quick mods to accommodate for the 3D print process. It's one of the first prints I made. Instructions Print the cabinet first. Then, the lid. The two should fit together perfectly - glue not necessary. I used 200 micron layer setting, and a 10% fill. Since I scaled it down from my full-sized drawing, the walls are pretty thin. I printed ABS on a heated bed. I didn't have much of a problem, but I could see where de-lamination and/or warping could occur.
