Automating a 12v RV Lamp Base: Built-in Switch vs Wall Mount 1. The switch designed for this project is the SPDT Toggle Switch, available on Amazon at https://amzn.to/2R79bRc. 2. To add manual control to the lamp base, a momentary push button that fits into the switch mounting hole in the housing is required. 3. A suitable 10mm button for this purpose can be found on Amazon at https://amzn.to/38vHzL9. 4. The V2 Gasket is designed to accommodate both switches listed above and also accepts a third option, available on Amazon at https://amzn.to/30CHrqz. 5. To operate the switch, 12v and ground power supplies are needed. 6. A router with Wi-Fi installed in the RV is necessary for initial setup of the switch, but internet access is not required after setup. 7. Soldering skills are necessary to connect wires for manual control of the switch.
