This is a mount for an EK D5 pump in the Ncase M1, widely regarded as the best small form factor case available, designed specifically for use with custom water cooling systems. Key Features ------------ - The mount reuses the internal SSD mounting holes found within the Ncase M1. - It provides perfect fitment and is designed to be secure and easy to remove. - The mount is relatively simple to print and requires minimal post-processing. Required Materials ----------------- - 3x M3 nuts - A 3.5mm drill bit - 4x M4 12mm screws, which can be sourced from the EK D5 pump - 3x SSD M3 screws with rubber inserts, taken from the Ncase M1 Printing Instructions ------------------- Print the mount using PETG or ABS if possible, as these materials offer superior durability. While PLA will work due to its limited exposure to heat, it is not recommended for long-term use. To achieve optimal strength and stability, print at a layer height of 0.24mm or higher. It is essential to utilize four perimeters, as this area experiences the most stress. Three top/bottom layers should be sufficient. A minimum infill of 30% is advised to ensure structural integrity. Assembly Instructions -------------------- 1. Drill out the M3 holes using a 3.5mm drill bit. 2. Insert the three M3 nuts, taking care to tighten them securely with pliers if necessary. 3. Attach the rubber-inserted M3 screws. 4. Mount the assembly to the D5 pump bracket using four M4 screws. 5. Slot the entire assembly into the front frame of the case, where the internal SSD is typically located.
