Nazgul Gauntlets (The lord of the rings) for Cosplay
pinshape
Here is my own version of a real Nazgul Gauntlet made entirely for 3D printing in any kind of filament. How to build it: Each finger has a different number of identical pieces called fingerpiecesA. Starting with the thumb finger, you need to print: four, five, six, five, and four. If you look at the images, you'll see it clearly. However, every finger has one fingerpieceB and one fingerpieceC, except for the thumb, which does not have a fingerpieceB (check the pictures if it's unclear). Then, you get the knuckles (one) and from closer to further: handpiece1, handpiece2, handpiece3, and handpiece4. To finish, you need one thumbfingerpiece, a special finger piece but bigger made just for the thumb. In summary, to make the entire gauntlet, you'll have to print: 24 fingerpiecesA four fingerpiecesB five fingerpiecesC one thumbfingerpiece one handpiece1 one handpiece2 one handpiece3 one handpiece4 one knuckle I designed this gauntlet measuring my hand, so it's quite possible that you'll need to rescale the pieces. However, with every slicer, you can do it easily. I use Cura and it's very easy. If you want the other hand, simply use the mirror settings of the slicer. I printed most of the files with a 0.2 high layer and it worked perfectly. If you set it in the right position, you won't need to use any supports (except possibly for the thumbfingerpiece).
