Naval mine Low-poly 3D model
cgtrader
Human beings crafted a naval mine, a self-contained explosive device that sank into the water, awaiting unsuspecting surface ships or submarines with devastating force. Unlike depth charges, these mines patiently waited in silence, silently tracking approaching vessels until they struck. Naval mines could be strategically used offensively to snarl enemy shipping lanes and trap hostile vessels in safe harbors. They also offered a robust defensive solution, protecting friendly vessels and establishing secure areas. 3D MODEL GENERAL INFO Precision was key as I built the model from blueprints, photographs, and authentic historical documentation. This model reflects exact details measured in precise units to reproduce the original perfectly. The 3D object is carefully crafted with Lightwave and skillfully refined and texturized using 3DCoat. Lightwave 2018 and Blender 2.79 compatibility: This model's UV structure includes a mapped UV texture assignment. Obj and FBX formats allow seamless rendering with UV maps; minor adjustments to textures may be required upon file opening with alternate software. The digital reproduction has dual UV mapping capabilities, supporting color, normal, roughness, metalness, and specular texture displays for enhanced realism (5 x 2K, 5 x 8K high-definition textures included – a total of ten files).
