Nav Switch to MX Adapter
thingiverse
This is a simple adapter that makes it easy to add a low-cost 5-way navigation switch to a keyboard plate with Cherry MX-compatible switches. Just place the switch snugly into the adapter, or use a small amount of superglue on each side before inserting the switch for extra security. The adapter works best with standard-thickness plates, but you can modify it to fit thicker plates and ergonomic cases like the Dactyl Manuform by filing down the sides slightly. Then, attach the modified adapter to the case using hot glue. Before inserting the switch into the adapter, solder one wire and five diodes to the switch legs - it's much easier that way. You can find the 10x10mm 5-way switch on Adafruit or by searching online. This adapter should be helpful for handwired mechanical keyboard builders who need a simple solution for adding navigation switches. I hope this helps!
