I designed a nautilus shell in SOLIDWORKS. Its maximum point-to-point length is approximately ten inches. The thinnest walls are roughly 0.04 inches thick. This model can be successfully 3D printed with the flat surface facing downwards, but scaling it down too much may cause printing issues.
