Nautilus gears sculpture

<p>Inspired by the mesmerizing slow animations in <a href="https://hackaday.io/project/178080-nautilus-sculptures">https://hackaday.io/project/178080-nautilus-sculptures</a></p><p>I could not resist to reworked the great openSCAD design of Parkinbot's involute Herringbone gears 773764</p><p>into a huge motorized sculpture of many interacting gears. A set of 8 to 12 gears fills an entire window.</p><p>The design is modular, you can rearrange gears as you like. Simple chains, 3-or-4-way-stars, rings or many other weird geometries.</p><p>One of the gears should be motorized, the others are driven.</p><p>We use a very slow geared motor,</p><p>The shaft of the gears are pressfit into the gears. the shaft in the hab should run smooth, with a bit of silicon-grease. Remove any visible seams on the shaft.</p><p>The parts need a print bed 21 x 25 cm. (As large as a Prusa I3 MKS3 can do)</p><p>Print the gears as lightweighted as possible, very little (adaptive!) infill, only one perimeter.</p><p>Print the hubs and connector arms with normal settings. (2 perimeters, and e.g. 20% infill)</p><p>The arms feature a battery bay for a 16855 Li-ion cell.</p><p>The motor housings feature a pressfit opening for a mini sliding switch, that would be normally backmounted with two small screws.</p><p>The arms and hubs have a precise fit. Beware.
