My daughter adores narwhals, and I promised her a 3D printed model from my ToM printer. The design was derived from Aerilius' SketchUp file on Google 3D Warehouse. I scaled and split the figure into two parts for easier printing. Both versions turned out well, with one featuring an accurate large nose while the other is more suitable for printing. Using 100% fill, 0 shells, a 32mm feed rate, and 3mm white ABS through stepstruder mk6+, I printed each half in about 15 minutes. Once completed, apply a bit of acetone to join the two halves together, and present your daughter with her new narwhal toy or use it for picking your teeth!
