Using the Xbox Kinect and ReconstructMe software, my Coney Island Scan-A-Rama booth at Danbury Makerfaire on June 8, 2013, debuted a new scanning rig, the Scan-O-Tron 3000. The scans were exceptional, leading me to launch a Kickstarter campaign for Scan-A-Rama and open source my plans soon. Visit http://www.thegreatfredini.com/scan-a-rama for more info or to order prints. For the best results, print at .27 or .1 mm layer height with no support, requiring minimal trimming of hanging plastic.
