Nashville Lamp

Nashville Lamp

I'm working on a lamp project as a gift for our realtor who helped us find our dream home in Nashville. I used the PASERAKs lamp base holder, which comes with a freecad file that lets you design your own custom lampshade holder to fit any size lamp shade and socket. It took about five minutes to figure out how to use the freecad file to design the lampshade holder for this project, and I highly recommend that you try it out too. The PASERAKs lampshade base can be found here: thing:4077085. You'll need a lamp socket with a threaded base that screws into the lamp base, so make sure to check the dimensions of the one you choose compared to your existing socket. If they're significantly different, you may need to modify the lampshade holder to fit. I used these specific light sockets in the USA: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07Q4MGLF1/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Lampshades are pretty simple to make, and if you don't know how to create lithophanes, just watch a few YouTube videos - it's easy! Then, use the outer curve of your design and wrap it 360° to create a complete lampshade. Using landscapes or panoramic photos will give you the best results. The lamp base prints easily with no supports on my Ender 3 printer. Enjoy this project, and feel free to ask me any questions - I'll do my best to help!
