The current design phase features a bunk bed with bent vertical uprights, awaiting strength testing. It is mainly constructed using 16-gauge steel tubing for its components. The goal is to keep the weight minimal while ensuring it can support up to 500 pounds on both top and bottom bunks. A locker storage option is integrated into the lower bunk, with plans for privacy curtains as well. Additionally, an ideal feature includes a "leg" connected to the wall that contains power outlets for charging personal devices.
