This series of models illustrates various stages in the formation of the nasal cavity. Each model in the bottom row is a duplicate of the one above it, turned 90 degrees and sliced coronally through the left nasal cavity to highlight changes in internal tissue masses that give rise to the palate and nasal cavities.
