NASA Wrench 1/2" Drive Reversible

NASA Wrench 1/2" Drive Reversible

The original NASA wrench (included in the files provided) features a 10mm square drive, which has left me wondering about its origins - could this be a custom size created by NASA? I couldn't find any information on 10mm ratchet drives anywhere, so it's likely that this is indeed a unique size. When I first printed the wrench from the original NASA .stl file, I made an error in my measurement. The square drive part measured exactly 10.0mm, and I assumed it was intended to be that size due to its nice round number. However, upon further inspection, I realized that I had failed to account for extrusion width. The files included here are designed for a two-piece version of the NASA wrench, scaled up to accommodate a 1/2 inch square drive. This allows for reversible use by printing in two parts and pressing them together. The reversible handle part features a hole to accept the driver part, while the driver part extends from both sides of the handle, enabling tightening on one side and loosening on the other. The .STL files provided have been scaled and adjusted to achieve a tight fit using a 0.5mm nozzle. The file "NASAratchet-0.5inBoth.stl" contains both the handle and drive parts, while the separate files offer the handle and drive separately. This allows for adjustments in case of variations in nozzle size or other printing issues.
