The NASA stride is a restrain and mobility aid that allows astronauts to move from deck to deck particularly in large, multi-deck habitat; having a foot restrain feature and climbing strap to secure astronauts while they stride along a rope in earth, lunar and mars gravity. Also, allowing them to easily detach and move on to other duties if necessary. The strider allows astronauts to move along a single rope upward or downward wherever it may be in space. It provides the functions of an elevator and a ladder allowing the astronaut to stop at any point along the rope and perform essential duties using his/her hands. The components of the strider include the gripper, elastic belt, handles, Foot strap and climbing strap.
