SLS rockets will soon be blasting off into space, carrying astronauts back to the moon as part of NASA's ambitious Artemis program. Despite being in development since the 1980s, SLS is woefully over-budget and running years behind schedule. Years of political meddling have set the project back, but it looks like things are finally falling into place. NASA plans to test-launch SLS in 2020.
