This is an entry for the NASA RASSOR Challenge.Description of drum:Sixteen scoops are mounted on the surface of a roller designed for digging. As it turns clockwise, the drum collects dirt and flaps between shovels and the drum keep the dirt contained within. Once collection is complete, turning the drum counterclockwise allows dirt to fall from scoops eliminating the need for separate unloading mechanisms. All components are made of Carbon Steel providing durability, lightness, and resistance to abrasion. Electrical resistance welding is suggested as the assembly method.View drawings and renderings for additional specifications.Mass properties of Drum Mk2 Configuration: Default Coordinate system: defaultMass = 3.13 kilogramsVolume = 816858.83 cubic millimetersSurface area = 1768569.95 square millimetersCenter of mass: (millimeters) X = 0 Y = 0 Z = 125.85Principal axes of inertia and principal moments of inertia: (kilograms * square millimeters)Taken at the center of mass.
