Nasa Rassor Drum BucketBy: Braden Keller My Drum Bucket is not like most ways people have decided to go. My bucket or bucket line may have more versatility and efficiency that the way most are because of how it is designed to have many parts which can be switched in and out. The downside is that is has many moving parts in it design which can be hard to have parts if there was a failure. All of my dimensions have stayed under requirement but can be changed if the requirements are needed with some slight modifications. With one of the scoop end’s damage it can still dig just fine. Below are some tests I ran in my software program to verify the mass and add some more detail.Solidworks Mass PropertiesMass properties of NASA RASSOR Assembly Configuration: Default Coordinate system: -- default --Mass = 3469.65 gramsVolume = 3469652.92 cubic millimetersSurface area = 899761.72 square millimetersCenter of mass: ( millimeters ) X = 209.24 Y = 114.99 Z = 220.46Principal axes of inertia and principal moments of inertia: ( grams * square millimeters )Taken at the center of mass.
