An initial concept of the clamp design features two embossed fixtures that lock in position once the slide is engaged. To release, pressure must be applied to the opposite side of the clamp, prying open the fixture. However, concerns include: 1) FDM printed ABS may have insufficient elasticity leading to permanent deformation, 2) potential weakness of fixtures, and 3) loosening with frequent use. Additional issues may arise.
