NASA Master CHAMP
grabcad
This unique part design creates a secure clamp assembly between the handrail and equipment using just one piece. The easy-to-print 3D model features minimal overhangs and can be assembled quickly by sliding two identical halves together on the handrail with ease. Built-in slopes ensure a tight fit, preventing any slippage along the rail's length. The slide draft angle in the part file can be adjusted to further enhance the clamp's grip if necessary. Additionally, a convex section in the center of the slide valley adds extra pressure between the rail and clamp halves for added security. Inadvertent disconnection is prevented by the placement of the washer on the stud, and there is no risk of rotation once installed. The combined volume of the two clamp halves is 5.6 cubic inches. The design's success is credited to Frederik Vollbrecht's input with his handrail. Thank you for considering this design, Istvan Toth.
