Lunar Torch Design 2021 is a design for a NASA lunar torch challenge. It is designing a simple design to build and handle it. The design is not required a lot of complicated systems to operated. The system is strong enough not to use any human interaction. It can be operated as an automation system for the wheels and the frame of the solar panel part to rotate it.The design has 4 parts which are the body, wheels, solar panel, and frame of solar panel. These components make the system less weight of operation. Also, it has dimensions of 2 m length, 1.5 m width, and 1.5 m height as the problem statement requirements. The body part is the main part of the design. It has a lot of space that can help to hold all other operational components system of the lunar torch. The design of the wheel is unique because the design made a separate operation of the wheels. It means that every wheel works separately. One of the important parts is the frame of the solar panel because that allows the solar panel to rotate and detect “where is the location of the sunlight to charge the batteries and make the system operate in the specific rage of the power as need it”. The solar panel part is a significant part of the challenge because lunar torch works depend on the power produced by the solar system. The angle of the solar panel is designed as 30° for all directions.Overall, the system can operate in a difficult environment. It will work in both light and dark areas because the power need will operate by the solar panel's system.
