The power consumption ranges from 4-8 W due to the use of a Nema 14 stepper motor for both the auger probe and reciprocating mechanism. The Rover provides power to the chain mechanism. Aluminum is used for parts such as the chain, hopper, and auger probe, while Teflon covers the cylinder. The BOM includes components like a power wheel, shafts, sprockets, base sketch, adding links, connecting links, chain connectors, sample containers, conveyor tubes, and more. Two limit sensors are to be added at 4.5 cm from the base and top. The rover collects surface rocks in the container, which is then programmed to dig through regolith and transfer the sample to the container. When full, a sensor stops the Nema stepper motor, and the container can be easily removed by rotating it counterclockwise. This design can be used for lunar excursion modules or rovers in Apollo space missions. Images are attached for clarity (1.png to 7.png).
