NASA Lunar Sampling System
grabcad
A three-story gravity linear sampler system with a special rotor offers versatile soil and gravel sampling. Capable of separating stones from 10-20mm, it also samples soil and gravel less than 1.5mm. The device allows for sample selection before collection and enables viewing and control after separation. Automatic spillage disassociation is possible, along with the evacuation of collected samples if needed. The system can be installed on a robotic arm or rolling moon car, weighing approximately 480 grams. It features rapid container removal and replacement, non-stick material release post-mission, and aluminum construction for strength and weight loss. Industrial standards ensure 100% system functionality, with battery, command circuit, and radio control systems concentrated within the main body box. A 30-watt battery provides 24-hour operation, while a camera controls noseboards during loading and transfer. The rover boasts 360° maneuverability, solar battery support for extended work, ultra-light, resistant wheels, and a high center of gravity for safety. Additionally, it can dig canals up to 10cm deep when rolling back.
