NASA EAS - Origami
grabcad
Introducing my preliminary "Origami" EAS designs, showing great potential after initial FEM analysis. A visual representation of an unprinted model is included. My goal is to create a screw-free design that's resistant to vibration. This compact system easily folds and assembles without tools in space. Invisible fasteners (between EAS, tubes, and rails) may be printed in space. Final details will be revealed later; duct tape hinges are planned. A supplementary structure is yet to be unveiled. Updates coming soon! I'm comfortable working with the metric system (millimeters, kilograms, newtons, etc.).
