Still work in progress. Will try to make time to animate the mechanism and a more elaborate diagram, as well as add some more details like linear rails and such. A walking rig system that is highly modular easily scalable. Features: 2 legs on each unit. The legs are identical and modular. Each leg features a pivoting foot plate for uneven terrain. The top of the leg is connected to a slew ring/rotating mechanism for steering. The legs will be individually controlled to overcome obstacles - for example, if there is a rock, or a step up or down, each leg will extend to an appropriate length to maintain system stability. Each stride is designed to be 2'. Very rough model, mostly a proof of concept drawing.Check out our website! www.alc-engr.com
