Human: Narwhal - (Monodon monoceros)--a mammal of the narwhal family, the only species in its genus. The adult narwhal typically measures 3.8-4.5 meters in length, with some specimens reaching up to 6 meters long. Newborns are around 1-1.5 meters long. Males weigh between 2-3 tons, with about a third of that weight being fat; females weigh approximately 900 kilograms. The head is round and has an overhanging frontal prominence; there is no dorsal fin. The mouth is small and located below. Narwhals are similar in size and body shape to beluga whales, as well as their pectoral fins and dark coloring of suckers. However, adults can be distinguished by spotting - grayish-brown spots on a light background that may merge - and the presence of only two upper teeth. The left tooth develops into a tusk up to 2-3 meters long and weighing up to 10 kilograms in males, while the right tooth usually does not protrude. The right tusk is hidden in the gums of males and rarely develops, occurring about once in every 500 cases. In males, the left spiral tusk often twists. Textures: 1.
