Narrow-Extended FeatherBox
thingiverse
The purpose of this remix was to create a custom enclosure for the following stacked components: Adafruit Feather 32u4 Basic Proto FeatherWing Proto Adafruit 15x7 CharliePlex LED Matrix FeatherWing Adafruit Sensiron SHT31-D Temperature & Humidity Sensor Where the Feather board displays the current temperature, updated every 5 seconds. The basic case and wing top of the Adafruit Feather Box Enclosure served as the initial source for this enclosure. This remix involved narrowing and slightly lengthening the enclosure and reducing the wing top cutout to only display the LEDs of a CharliePlex FeatherWing. Several other modifications were also made, since some options available in the basic case were not needed. Many thanks go out to Adafruit for providing the Fusion 360 Archive file (Feather Box V2.f3z), which laid the groundwork for this project! Note that the photographs provided of the CharliePlex FeatherWing, when on, do not accurately reflect the display due to lighting issues when photographing light sources. Custom Section Components and Assembly The following components were used: Adafruit Feather 32u4 Basic Proto with Female Headers https://www.adafruit.com/product/2771 Adafruit FeatherWing Proto with Stacking Headers https://www.adafruit.com/product/2884 Adafruit 15x7 CharliePlex LED Matrix FeatherWing https://www.adafruit.com/product/3163 Adafruit Sensiron SHT31-D Temperature & Humidity Sensor https://www.adafruit.com/product/2857 The FeatherWing Proto board was connected to expose the 3V, GND, SCL, and SDA pinouts for connection to the SHT31-D sensor. The Feather board was mounted onto the bottom of the enclosure and the sensor mounted on the end of the enclosure. The FeatherWing Proto board was then stacked on the Feather board and connected to the sensor. The CharliePlex FeatherWing was then stacked atop the FeatherWing Proto board and the enclosure top added.
