narrow beadlock wheel (basher rocksta)
thingiverse
I have designed a narrow beadlock wheel for my 1/24 rc car the Basher Rocksta. I am working on a design to make it look like a super class crawler I hope the images show a good deal of what you need to build the beadlocks. the wheels are - 14mm wide - 55mm in diameter some 1/10 scale tyres wil fit cut n shut the making of the tyres. to get the tyres that narrow you will have to use the cut'n'shut method. cutting away excess material and glueing them back together. On youtube you can find a few tutorials. I have used 1/10 buggytyres and some WPL toys c14/c24 tyres. the last model of tyre is narrow enough but you need 2 tyres per wheel to get the full diameter. you have the option to give the tyre more offset to the frame with the - round spacer (2mm thickness) I have added with the files. the bolt holding the hex hub will have to be longer though keep that in mind. hardware needed/used: - 8 m3 nuts - 8 m3 bolts size 20mm (threadsize, head of the bolt not take into account) - 12 Mm wheel Hex Hub for 1/10 Rc - 6 bolts m3 size 6mm at the least (this may vary when you use the spacer) to attach the wheel to a basher rocksta, you will need to use the file with the Hex extender to make it a 12mm hex. to secure the wheel I have used som extra hardware: - a m2 standoff spacer. 8mm, - a ring and washer to secure it all. (print files added for the 3d printed version) (note: english is not my native language, so I appologize for any errors)
