Narcisse made by Gabriel Grupello
myminifactory
Narcisse crafted by Gabriel Grupello (1644 - 1730), a stunning marble piece found within the Royal Park of Brussels, Belgium. CapturingReality was used to create this masterpiece. Gabriel Grupello's birth was marked as the son of Bernardo Rupelli, an Italian cavalry captain serving under Spanish authority, and his Flemish wife Cornelia Delinck. He returned to Flanders in 1671 and two years later achieved master status within the Brussels Guild. A successful workshop was established in Brussels, employing numerous assistants along the way. Grupello's artistic versatility is evident through the diverse range of subjects he sculpted, as well as the various materials in which he worked. His expertise extended to marble, ivory, and wood, a rarity among his contemporary Flemish Baroque sculptors, who also produced bronze statues.
