Napoleon Bust 3D Scan
cults3d
This is a 3D scan of a bust of Napoleon from the Usher Gallery and The Collection in Lincoln, UK. The marble bust was crafted by Antoine Denis Chaudet in the 18th century. Oliver Laric 3D scanned it in 2013. I opted to hollow out the scan and split it into two pieces to minimize material usage and expedite the process. I filled each printed half with plaster to add weight. After priming, I painted the bust black and applied a wax finish to give it an antique gold appearance.
