Napoleon Bust 3D Scan Free 3D print model

This is a 3D scan of a renowned bust of Napoleon housed at The Collection in Lincoln's Usher Gallery, UK. Crafted from marble by master artist Antoine Denis Chaudet in the 18th Century, this priceless artifact underwent 3D scanning courtesy of Oliver Laric in 2013. With material efficiency and time constraints in mind, I chose to hollow out the scan and segment it into two distinct pieces, significantly reducing resource usage while maintaining its authenticity. The resultant halves were then embedded with plaster (gypsum) to increase their weight and visual heft. After a priming phase, a rich black paint coat was applied, which ultimately gave way to a luxurious wax treatment imbuing the bust with an unmistakable antique gold sheen.
